Hi, I'm Sibel [pronounced "Sea-belle," not Sybil, though the multiple personalities thing isn't entirely off base].

I'm a MENA actor, writer, and director based in New York. Recurring co-star on CBS's FBI. Alumni of the [2022 ViacomCBS Diversity Comedy Showcase]. Featured performer at UCB's Betty Night, the character comedy room where I feel most at home.

I play characters at the height of their intelligence, people doing their best in impossible situations. I read ethnically ambiguous: Middle Eastern, Latina, Mediterranean. Casting directors genuinely can't place me, which means I fit into a lot of worlds. I'm legitimately funny and dramatically trained. And I have a specific combination of masculine and feminine energy that makes me electric in queer roles and anything morally complex.

Online, I've built 250K+ followers across Instagram, TikTok, and YouTube on original characters, impressions, and sketch comedy that is somehow both deeply personal and broadly unhinged. My Keira Knightley impression has taken on a life of its own. So has That One Kid, which I both copyrighted and trademarked, because apparently that's where we are. My sketch show Sounds Like Sibel lives on this site.

Inshallah: "A young muslim girl destined for an arranged marriage finds herself entangled in a reckless romance that goes against everything her family expects of her." A short film I directed and star in, premiering on June 24, 2026 at Dances With Films at TCL Chinese 6 Theatres.
